I'm sure every parent out there has at least one toy they've purchased for their child that they regret. A couple years ago, I loved the idea of a keyboard for the kids. They all love to sing, so I thought it'd be a great way to feed their little musical souls.
Someone kick me!
We usually have the keyboard on the dining room table. We rarely eat in the dining room, so it's out of the way (this is where you subliminally read: It's out of ear shot!).
When the kids play with it, I give them about 10-15 minutes of patient tolerance before I'm yelling one of several things:
1. Turn that thing down!
2. Put that thing back on the table!
3. Turn that thing off!
Still, the kids love it. And they hit pay dirt when I'm upstairs doing laundry and can't hear them. Then they play it long and loud!
The other day, this is what we found after the usual noisy serenade.
I laughed and told Bruce to document it so I could share it here.
This was completely umprompted. Spencer just happened to be playing dress up when he got sidetracked by the allure of the keyboard.
