Where To Go?

Next year is our 15th anniversary.

It just so happens that our happy occassion coincides with the year that Bruce gets an additional week of vacation as part of his benefits at work. I'm thinking we should put two and two together and see what we can do with that extra week of vacation. So I have a survey of sorts for you.

Where should we go? Throw out some places for me. I'm stumped.

Only one stipulation: No cruises. We've never gone on one, but neither of us really feels like that's a loss either.

Since you don't love the beach, like I do...I am not sure any of my suggestions would go over well....=)

James "suprised" me on our 10th anniversary with a weekend in a beautiful Bed and Breakfast ...which was absolutely amazing...(never was sure if I would like that until I went...and I loved it!!!!) Which we were the only couple there ALL weekend...But the biggest surpise of the whole weekend, was when we had to get up at 530 on Sunday morning for my next surprise...which was a Sunrise Hot Air Balloon Ride....I was so excited..and I LOVED It!!! So, there you go..I can have fun without sand and sun =)

I don't guess I helped you much...but that was what came to my mind...Can't wait until tonight!

That's funny, Cassie. Drives me nuts, too, when I can't go back and correct an error. Another funny... the only place I can think of is a beach... St. Augustine, Fla. We've never been there, but Bruce's brother has and my in-laws, too. They say it's so nice. I love the beach... in the fall!

I have a suggestion, but you may have already been to this destination! :) We went to Charleston on our honeymoon and stayed at 2 Meeting Street Inn (google it :)). It is a B&B on the Battery. Just gorgeous and they serve tea each afternoon with the best desserts! :) Very historic and its on the carriage tour-so you can brag when you stop on the tour that you are staying there (not that I did that of course! :)). We LOVE Charleston and all of the history. We went to Ft Sumter, a plantation or two, the SC aquarium (on a rainy day), visited a lighthouse, went on a ghost tour (very historical and fun), shopping, great eating...we didn't even go to the beach bc we had so much to do in the city of Charleston (and we could pretty much walk from our B&B to everything). It is very pretty, we hope to go back sometime soon. We won't be staying at 2 Meeting until our girls are married off though! LOL!
Keep us posted! :)

Duffer and I have 4 more years until our 10th anniversary and I know that we are going back to Hawaii. Even if you don't enjoy the beach there are so many different things to do there...going to Pearl Harbor was my favorite! That is neat now because Davis is studying about it in school and we have actual pictures for him to see.

Also, as far as beaches go...it is absolutely beautiful. The weather is so mild not humid like most beaches and it doesn't storm much...seems like the east coast storms at least twice in a vacation week.

Other than that maybe Grand Canyon, Niagra Falls, NYC...those are just some places I want to visit eventually! ;-)
